Martial was originated in Asian countries and martial arts are self defense techniques which needs lot of stamina, strength and flexibility. This form of art activates the entire muscular system of the body. Martial art promotes self discipline. Martial arts reminds us of the techniques that people in ancient times used to protect themselves and their family when there were there were no scopes for defense then the self defense was the only way to deal with enemies. Martial arts is the art of war but also teaches us certain principles of our lives such as respect, working hard etc to grow as a nice human being.
Martial is helps us to be physically fit and defend ourselves.

Martial art was practiced by monks and nuns. Some traditional martial arts are weapon based. Gatka is known as Indian weapon based martial arts and it was invented by Sikhs in Punjab. Shastra Vidya(ancient martial arts) was popularly known among Kshatriya (Hindus). Martial training courses have in been started nowadays to ensure that the new generation learns this art and should know the importance of this art in self defense. Students take the initiative to learn martial art not just for self defense but also to impress their friends with some kicks.
