Martial Arts is a lot more than a lesson of discipline, it also prepares one for the combat. In reality such equipments are generally not used hence they train the martial arts learners to face the hits during combats.

Chinese Martial Arts is a bit different from the western martial arts due to the use of different martial arts equipments. These equipments should be used and chosen with great care as these are the onse that can make you a good and competitor fighter in the end.
